Rondleidingen door de prachtige en historische UNESCO English Harbour en Nelsons Dockyard. What To Expect
Nelson's Dockyard
De boottocht begint en eindigt bij Nelson's Dockyard en biedt u de mogelijkheid om dit historische gebied en de omliggende Engelse haven vanaf de zee te zien. Tijdens de tour passeren we Freemans Bay en Galleon Beach, kijken we uit naar zeeschildpadden, en bezoeken we de Pillars of Hercules met uitzicht op Monserrat en zijn actieve vulkaan en op een heldere dag het Franse eiland Guadeloupe. Onderweg zullen we de natuur en dieren in het wild bekijken - soms dolfijnen - en gasten zullen rondleidingen krijgen om meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis en cultuur van het gebied. Leer hier meer over de geschiedenis van de prachtige Georgische scheepswerf en de tijd van admiraal Lord Nelson. Nelson noemde het zijn 'Hell hole'! Waarom was hij hier bij de Royal Navy? Blijf koel met de zeebries terwijl u ontspant en vaar comfortabel door de haven.
Probeer, indien beschikbaar, de Navy-rumdrank, Grog, verplicht voor marine-ratings, twee keer per dag een halve pint. Deze praktijk werd pas in 1970 stopgezet.

Horatio’s Nelson’s Harbour 1/2 hr boat trip

We didn’t have to queue or wait for the boat to fill up - there were only 4 of us and the Captain provided excellent English info about the Harbour and the beautiful boats there. We went out to the entrance to the harbour - the tour was about 1/2 hr in a renovated old lifeboat! Very enjoyable.

We had a fantastic time on the boat tour! The guide was really welcoming and informative, telling us fascinating stories of Nelson’s Harbour. The boat itself is lovely, and the scenery is stunning. Such a great way to experience the area. Would highly recommend.
