    Cades Reef

Get ready for a fun-filled day that the whole family will love. Enjoy a relaxing Caribbean experience aboard the sailing catamaran ‘Mystic.’ Cruise down the souternh coast of the island, taking in the beautiful views of the Antiguan coastline and the Caribbean Sea. You'll stop at Cades Reef to snorkel Antigua’s largest reef formation. Cades Reef is a national, protected marine area and is full of sea life for you to discover. Whilst you snorkel, the crew will prepare a fresh BBQ lunch for you when you return. After you enjoy this wonderful Caribbean BBQ buffet, the boat will anchor at one of the secluded bays for a chance to swim in the turquoise water or just bask in the sun. As you swim or get a sun tan, the crew will be taking care of your every need by bringing your drinks on the beach.

After an hour on the beach, it is time to hoist the sail and start heading North along the coast. Time to turn up the music and start taking advantage of the open bar! Everyone will be jamming to the music until returning to the point of origin. You'll surely leave wanting more and waiting to do it all over again. Note that the beaches chosen for designated stops will be dependent upon sea conditions.

Great Experience

Mystic Cruises is simply they best! The entire crew made the day incredibly fun. Not only did we get a tour around the island but we got to learn about Antigua's history. Great food and drinks but most of all the entertainment was excellent. This definitely is not my last time on Mystic cruises! Great job Captain Brandon and crew.

Amazing day out

Me and my partner thought it would be a nice idea to do for our anniversary, was a lovely day and we had an amazing time. So much fun, the crew are lovely and friendly. Was laughing and smiling all day, not to mention that there were some rather informative moments in the day too. All round great trip, will very likely do this again at some point in the future!

Great Day on the Scene

The tour was much more thorough than I'd have imagined. The crew was friendly, efficient, entertaining, laid back, and lovely. The food was great! The lobster option is definitely advised. The snorkeling was not great--there were a few fish, a bit of brain coral here and there, and the reef is struggling--but the scenery, food, and the boat trip in general made up for it.

A good tour

A good tour, friendly staff,a good lunch, plenty to drink, the reef sea life when snorkelling were not very abundant but it was okay, had a long swim from where the boat was anchored to the reef, also had to be accompanied by a guide, which was a bit irritating. Would recommend.

Beautiful views, snorkeling okay

The views and the food were amazing, the snorkeling not as much. The water was choppy when we arrived at Cades Reef. The guide said that there would be someone in front and back of the snorkel group, but there was only one guide in front. With the waves, it was hard to keep up, and he didn't do much to make sure slower swimmers could catch up. The ocean conditions was not their fault but they could have been more inclusive.

Great views terrible snorkeling

We took this trip on Friday . We went from St. John’s out along all the beautiful beaches . The boat wasn’t too big or too small . The crew was very friendly . We stopped at Cade’s reef to snorkel . I told them I had size 15 feet . The crew member handed me size 11 flippers . He said those were the biggest they had . He also handed me a life vest which he said was mandatory to get in the water . One of the other passengers refused to wear one and stayed on the boat . I got in the water . The mask they gave me leaked constantly . The life vest stopped me from snorkeling normally . My feet hurt from the pain of the crazy tight flippers . The reef had absolutely nothing to look at . It looked stripped and baron . The rest of the trip was fine . The beach we stopped at was beautiful . The lunch on the boat was very good . Overall it was a great trip except for the awful snorkeling . Maybe next time we’ll just do the boat trip .
